As most of you understand by now, my only interest in the psychodynamic model is the way in which it raises difficult ethical issues which I believe apply to the whole counselling and psychotherapy movement - none of us is able to unthink all we have learned about Freud.
However I know some of you are enthusiastic advocates of the psychodynamic model so for general interest I would like to recommend "An Intdroduction to Psychodynamic Counselling" by Laurence Spurling (Palgrave 2009 2nd edition) and here is an extract to give you flavour of the level at which it is written:
